At Eclipse International, David Tenuta supports the marketing efforts of all company brands, with a special focus on the Company’s luxury brands like Eastman House, Chittenden & Eastman along with the Ernest Hemingway line of fine bedding.

David Tenuta has more than 35 years of experience in the sales and marketing of luxury brands like E.S. Kluft, Aireloom, and Hypnos.

“Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with many of the great innovators in our industry, especially in the luxury sector,” Tenuta said. “I was there at the beginning of E.S. Kluft for example and participated in what was the birth of one of the strongest brands in the industry today. I believe the Eclipse International portfolio has the opportunity to grow in a similar way and I am excited to be a part of this team.”

Eclipse International says its upscale European-style luxury Velika line is off to a great start.

The line was launched with an in-store showcase that displays two beds in a compact footprint, allowing consumers to personalize comfort, design a mattress right in the showroom and place the order either on the floor or online at home.

Along with an upholstered European-style platform foundation that can be dressed in three different colors — Espresso, Palermo and Teal — the program offers a choice of two leg styles. Velika, which is Slavic for “great,” can also be custom ordered to comfort preference, officials said.

Crafted with all-natural materials and no polyurethane foam, Velika features Eclipse’s two-sided pocketed sleep system with its LifeEdge perimeter-edge support, allowing the sleeper to sleep up the edge of the bed. In addition, the mattresses feature all-natural Talalay latex sandwiching 10-pound layers of luxury Pima cotton. The beds feature a comfort duvet and is also designed with two layers of all-natural Talalay latex with 12-pound layers of luxury Pima cotton in between, officials said.

Velika is dressed in a herringbone wool knit cover with channel-quilted layers of organic wool.

The beds are designed to significantly reduce pressure points and motion transfer while offering luxurious support with a removable comfort duvet for extra cushioning. Velika is also designed to eliminate side-to-side motion, a typical partner disturbance.
